GB/T 17650.1 Determination of the amount of halogen acid gas – Scope
The test method specified in Part 1 of this standard is applicable to the total amount of halogen acid gas other than hydrofluoric acid released during combustion of the halogenated polymer-based mixture and halogen-containing additive mixture taken from the cable or optical cable structure Determination.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the test, this test method is not suitable for samples with a halogen acid release of less than 5mg / g. This method cannot be used to determine that a mixture or material is "halogen-free." For such mixtures or materials, as well as all mixtures or materials with a halogen acid equivalent content of less than 5 mg / g, the method specified in GB / T 17650.2 is recommended.
